The beginnings of J-Kaulk are relatively simple. In 1999 Jeff and Lynda Kauzlarich bid their first firestopping job. Over time, and on a minimum budget, Jeff and Lynda continued to bid jobs during the week while completing the work with a handful of workers on weekends. After a year of estimating and building a team, one could say the rest is history.

Since its early start J-Kaulk has attracted the attention of competitors from coast to coast. It may be boasting to say that this is a much talked about company, but then it’s also the truth. It’s similarly true that larger companies than this native Mississippi firm have been unable to tap into the resources that make J-Kaulk unique. But then that’s also its edge–its ability to completely satisfy new clients year after year.

Today, Mike Caruso is the team’s Chief estimator and salesperson for the Gulf South Division. Pat Dunn is the team's estimator and salesperson for the East Coast Division. Jim Gille is in charge of operations. Jeff, wife Lynda and Dawn McMahon handle the Main Office located in Mississippi. It’s a perfect fit for the three phases of firestopping. Presently with 10 foremen and crews totaling between 30 to 50 workers, J-Kaulk handles thousands of jobs for regular and new clients who request their services.
